Position Description
As a Critical Operations Technician, you will support the data center. They will execute programs related to Safety, Team, Availability, Communication, and Knowledge. You will handle day-to-day data center operations. Mechanical duties include working on chilled water systems, HVAC systems (such as rooftop units, CRAC/CRAH units), humidification systems, fan wall systems, air-cooled chillers, and central plant operations. Electrical responsibilities involve power distribution from the main switchgear to UPS systems, customer load, and cabinets. Fire Life Safety duties include monitoring wet and pre-action sprinkler systems and associated detection devices. Responsibilities will include:
• Support data center operations, including mechanical, electrical, and safety systems.
• Execute programs for Safety, Team, Availability, Communication, and Knowledge.
• Handle daily data center operations, including mechanical and electrical tasks.
• Ensure a culture of safety across company data centers and monitor facility systems.
• Track operational performance, provide feedback on standards, and optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate on preventive and predictive maintenance scheduling and assist with maintenance database management.
• Coordinate power installations and upgrades, utilizing a CMMS system for facility management.
• Solve problems using established procedures and manage asset and consumable inventory.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including incident escalation, response, and reporting.
• Conduct facility and security tours, addressing issues as needed, and offer mechanical and control expertise.
• Contribute to technical writing for maintenance procedures.
• Be available for on-call duties outside regular hours.
• Undertake additional duties as required by the company. (Note: Job responsibilities may evolve over time.)

Position Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in data centers or similar mission-critical roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other database software.
• Strong multitasking ability and adaptability to handle stress.
• Familiarity with data center electrical and mechanical systems (e.g., UPS, Transformers, Chillers).
• Knowledge of NFPA70e, NFPA72, NFPA25, and fire safety compliance.
• Experience in data center trend analysis and PC-based site monitoring systems.
• Physical requirements: occasional standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call support.
• Comfortable in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Preference for candidates with technical military specialties like United States Navy Nuclear Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, and base building systems.

• Contribute to creation of change management tickets and timely incident reporting
• Site maintenance and repairs/inspections to help ensure Digital Realty’s data center operations achieve the highest level of availability

Requirements:
• 4+ years experience as a Navy Nuclear Operator/Technician
• Experience in mission critical facilities operating / engineering or equivalent equipment experience including assets associated with mission critical engineering relevant to the specific site. (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety systems).
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in the area of non-expertise (for example, electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice-versa).

Position Description:
The Estimator supports the department with developing cost estimates and cost budgets for new projects across a portfolio of fast-paced construction/ service projects. You will be involved in the solutioning, pricing and the proposal phases.
• Review and understand RFP/RFQ documents from customers and supports request for information (RFI) process.
• Identify project risks and/or challenges as part of solutioning process.
• Assist in generation of rough order of magnitude and/or formal estimates for potential projects.
• Assist in proposal development.
• Maintain a well-organized database of bid documents for reference upon award of contract.
• Identify additional revenue opportunities for the company, as applicable.
• Coordinate with personnel from sales, engineering, preconstruction, execution, and finance team.
• Collect different quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers pertaining to the task at hand.
• Review and assess cost estimates.
• Identify labor, material, costs, and time requirements by researching proposals, blueprints, and any related documents.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating with specific knowledge of Mission critical systems.

This position is primarily responsible for installation and removal of batteries in Data Centers. Essential functions include:

• Removes and replaces battery connectors and contact tips.
• Attaches leads from charger to battery posts and starts charger.
• Operates transfer cart to change batteries in and out of equipment.
• Makes minor repairs to battery cables.
• Work with other team members to complete custom and large installation projects.
• Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
• Maintain and safeguard company-issued tools and equipment.
• Maintain vehicle in safe and operational condition and always maintain current insurance and a valid license.
• Safely cleans up electrolyte spills.

Requirements:
• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment up to (and sometimes more than) 100 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Must have satisfactorily completed a pre-employment assessment, background screening, pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen (hair follicle).
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.
