About the Industry

A data center is typically a building, a dedicated space within a building, or a group of buildings used to house computer systems and associated components, such as telecommunications and storage systems. Data centers centralize an organization's IT operations and equipment, as well as where it stores, manages, and disseminates its data. They house a network's most critical systems and are vital to the continuity of daily operations. Consequently, the security and reliability of data centers and their information is a top priority for organizations.

Roles and Responsibilities
DURING PRECONSTRUCTION
• Learn the project through the G-Sheets, schematic drawings, and Milestone Schedule.
• Set up the project folders in Procore; load the Infrastructure Tracker templates, familiarize yourself with the folder structure and documentation requirements for the project.
• Attend Preconstruction meetings and create the meeting notes.
• Support the Director of Construction as needed.
DURING BID PROCESS
• Support the Client Team to assemble the RFP package(s).
• Attend Bid Process meetings and create the meeting notes.
• Track and manage RFP RFIs and responses.
• Receive, analyze, and process bid proposals.
DURING EXECUTION
• Daily check of Ox Blue Cameras to ensure they are active, provide a clear and unobstructed view, and are mounted in the correct position. Report issues to the Client team and work with Ox Blue to correct them immediately.
• Daily walk of the project site.
• Daily review of Daily Logs, Photos, and Infrastructure Trackers to remain aware of current state of issues, trade progress, potential risk items. These daily reviews will support your other responsibilities such as change order log updates, monthly review of pay applications, risk exposure log updates, etc.
• Support the CM with follow-up responses to comments on daily logs and photos.
• Meet with the CM every day.
o Discuss the day’s activities and trade progress.
o Discuss open RFIs, submittals, and change orders - identify any that need to be highlighted in the Daily Log and escalated to the Client Team. In general, always escalate RFIs and submittals that:
? Have not been submitted in time to support the schedule,
? Have not been responded to in time to support the schedule,
? Involve coordination issues with other trades, service providers, AHJ, etc.
? May impact the schedule (e.g., delays to fabrication release, delivery dates),
? May result in a change order (e.g., scope change),
? May introduce a risk exposure
• In meetings (e.g., OAC, other important ad hoc or standing meetings) and conversations, be the eyes, ears, and voice for Compass. Escalate real and potential risks to the Client team.
• Complete the Weekly Customer Update using the template that provides milestone, issues, and risks updates.


• Weekly Executive Report:
o Provide weekly Milestone Schedule Updates.
o Provide weekly Change Order Log Updates.
o Provide weekly OFCI Tracker Updates – once equipment is in the warehouse, the Sr CM performs a site visit with the GC and populates the OFCI tracker with required delivery dates to support the schedule. The Sr CM is responsible for coordination between ProLift and the GC (ProLift will set equipment in place, GC and trades connect).
o Weekly Risk Exposure Log Updates.
• Escalate issues to the Client team without delay. It is not the Sr CM’s responsibility to resolve issues but rather, to keep the Client team fully aware and informed of issues – potential or real – so that they can resolve them.
• Review General Contractor pay applications for accuracy and completeness before sending to the Client team. Use the Infrastructure Trackers to help confirm that the level of completion matches the amounts being billed.
• Review OFCI vendor invoices – ensure the correct equipment has been delivered, damage-free, and is functioning prior to payment.

Daily Responsibilities:
1. Prepare Meeting Notes:
Document notes for each meeting that takes place on the job (i.e. bid review/conference, design meeting, kickoff meetings, OAC meetings, major multi-party calls). Not minutes – a diary to the meeting (discussion points, the tone, the impacts to the project, etc.). Context is everything. Think about the why’s and mood in each conversation.
2. Daily Photos – Structured & Unstructured
Structured – take up to 20 standard photos per building in the predetermined locations. Each project will have a customized map to follow each and every day for structured photos. Use the map and follow along this path. The link below is an example of what you will be provided.
Unstructured – each day as work is put in place, take up to 200 pictures of the construction activities that have occurred that day. Examples include new construction, anything that stands out, possible issues, job well done or anything that interests you. These photos should coincide with the daily infrastructure tracker.
3. Daily Logs
Each day create a diary-like write up that is unpolished and unfiltered. Focus on the events of the day, including construction items, team interaction, accomplishments, and potential issues.
4. Infrastructure Tracker
Separate out a floor plan for daily progress trackers for each scope item. Save these every day under the documents folder labeled “Infrastructure Trackers" in Procore. See below for a best practices overview and scope specific examples.
5. Review Project Current State
6. Review and respond to all comments and notes received about the previous day’s photos, daily logs, and meeting notes.
7. Document critical upcoming submittal information in the Procore daily logs in as related to the schedule (not a flat number). Due dates for all critical submittals are mandatory and a key part of this step.
8. Review critical RFI’s Request for Information): Critical issues should not wait to be brought up for the first time on the daily logs after they become an official RFI. Document issues early and often. This step is to provide an update on those critical items that become RFI’s.

Position Details:

A new Customer Service Engineer will initially go through a period of technical training, which includes initial training in Vancouver, WA and hands-on training at client sites. Position Description
As a Controls Engineer in the Pharmaceutical Glass facility in Vineland, NJ, you will program the controllers on the factory floor, debug and troubleshoot equipment issues, and minimize downtime by identifying root causes and implementing robust engineering solutions. You will develop a deep understanding of the controls systems and how they work with other plant systems. Responsibilities will include:
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve controls systems (PLCs, HMIs, etc.) on the production floor to ensure optimal equipment operation and improve uptime and product quality metrics.
• Identify the underlying reason behind controls systems issues and drive to the root cause.
• Support new equipment installation and commissioning. Act as the controls project receiver. Support production after install to troubleshoot issues and train personnel.

• Collaborate with other engineering groups to align with plant priorities.

Position Description: Compressed Air Field Service Technician
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintain a variety of systems for customers. You will work on rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, compressed air system components, and refrigerator dryers. You will use precision measuring tools to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform all maintenance on these systems. You will be expected to assist in equipment start-ups, commissioning, installation, repair (routine and emergency), and customer education of their system. You will work closely with your customers on a regular basis to ensure they understand the full capabilities of their system and the benefits you provide them. You will be working at different customer locations on a daily basis. You will always be expected to present our client in a positive manner and recommend possible solutions to any customer needs that you are not providing at the time.
Requirements: The most important aspect a candidate can have for this role is the ability to perform analysis to solve complex problems with limited time and information. You must have strong experience with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment. Candidates must possess a strong troubleshooting background. Previous experience in a field service role is desired. HVAC service technician is a plus but not required. Knowledge of air compressor systems will be advantageous as well.
