  • May develop programs for touch probe programming for on machine inspection and coordinate shifting. Support the development of touch probing standard procedures.

About The Role

As an Event Specialist at Object First, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, including exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, and sponsorship projects in the United States (main focus) and Canada. You will collaborate closely with the Executive, Sales, and Marketing teams to assess event relevance and ROI, align with teams on event evaluation / selection, manage end-to-end event logistics, and build relationships with stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences and measurable business results. Your role will encompass pre-event selection, contract processing, planning, on-site management, lead management, scoring and uploads to our CRM database and post-event evaluation.

What You'll Do

Evaluate Event Relevance and ROI:

  • Identify and assess events for relevance and return on investment.
  • Recommend event participation based on strategic objectives and target audience.

Event Planning and Execution:

  • Plan and manage all aspects of events, including scheduling, budgeting, staffing, travel planning, logistics, briefing internal team members and promotion.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, booth setup, speakers, equipment, signage, and transportation.
  • Oversee the design of trade show booths, graphics, and promotional materials.

Position Overview:

  • Own the end-to-end hardware demand planning process across all regions, channels, and product lines
  • Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term demand forecasts using statistical models, market intelligence, and cross-functional inputs
  • Drive forecast accuracy improvements at product and GEO levels
  • Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for hardware partners

Inventory & Supply Risk Management

  • Recommend purchase requirements for consigned inventory based on forecast, lead times and consumption trends
  • Identify and escalate risks related to supply shortages, excess inventory, potential obsolescence, and capacity constraints
  • Develop mitigation and recovery plans to support uninterrupted supply and protect customer delivery commitments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles, with significant hardware experience

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer Planner will be responsible for ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient delivery of all materials to support customer projects. This role requires strong analytical, planning, and communication skills, with an excellent knowledge of material supply management systems. You will manage the full order lifecycle for specific commodities, support production planning, and drive supplier relationships while ensuring best-in-class performance on behalf of the company and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full order lifecycle for assigned customer orders and commodities.
  • Meet all KPI targets and maintain updated AVL & ERP data.
  • Oversee raw material requirements through to finished goods delivery.
  • Procure key raw materials and components to support production.
  • Expedite or de-expedite work/purchase orders via ERP.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels for assigned product families.
  • Support procurement of capital and indirect materials.
  • Maintain tactical vendor relationships and participate in QBRs.
  • Ensure accuracy of MRP records and Master Data.
  • Support production order planning and WIP management.
  • Foster positive supplier relations through regular communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; minimum two years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to plan, manage, and reprioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost-saving initiatives.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP Business-by-Design preferred).
