Technicians (Austin, TX)

Equipment Technicians
As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, alongside of the engineers in a manufacturing set-up and perform calibration tasks, including: preventative maintenance; failure analysis; quality testing and production of memory chips and logic.

Additional responsibilities will include:
• Planning and performing routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair.
• Performing routine process monitoring, adjustments, and qualification.
• Implementing equipment improvements, including thorough documentation.
• Communicating with Engineers, other Technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
• Performing preventative maintenance procedures and documenting activities.
• Providing equipment operations support and training to manufactured personnel.
• Participating in continuous improvement efforts.
• Learning and utilizing sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes.

Process Technicians
As a Process Technician, you will be responsible for logging data accurately and promptly for all assignments.

Additional responsibilities will include:
• Documenting and communicating all process activities for the shift during pass down.
• Monitoring process parameters and meeting qualification requirements and disposition non-conforming material, identifying abnormal conditions, their root causes, and determining corrective actions to reduce variation or prevent recurrence.
• Maintaining and improving process capability and assisting engineering with experiments.
• Maintaining integrity of the process SOPs.
• Learning and utilizing sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes.
• Performing routine process monitoring, adjustments, and qualification.
• Implementing equipment improvements, including thorough documentation.
• Communicating with Engineers, other Technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
• Performing preventative maintenance procedures and documenting activities.
• Providing equipment operations support and training to manufactured personnel.
• Participating in continuous improvement efforts.

Position Details
Location: Austin, TX
Salary: $18-$23/hr, depending on experience. You will average a minimum of 8 hours overtime per pay period (every 2 weeks).
Shift Work: Work week schedule will be 3 days on, 4 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off. Expect to stay on the same shift schedule for at least 6 months. Transition days will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

• Must know the basics of pressure control, RF, and/or temperature control systems.
• Must have Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.) experience, and general understanding of how to use systems.
• Must have good workmanship skills, and understand LEAN practices, and process improvement.
• Must be very task and detail oriented and place high value on customer service, team work, and flexibility.
• Familiarity with SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma is a plus.
• Experience with EMS, SAP, Spotfire, Microsoft Word, Zeus/EES FDC, TPSS, Mysingle, ECM is a plus.
• Any training certifications or instructing experience is a plus.
• Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required.
• Must have well-developed project management skills and the demonstrated ability to understand systems, identify process innovation opportunities, define necessary improvements, and implement change.
• Must be willing to learn and work in a dynamic/fast paced environment, and must be punctual.
