Job Description

  • Location: Benton, AR/Jonesboro, AR/Lebanon, NH/Dallas,
    TX/Brooklyn, NY
  • Shift: Mon-Fri, Normal working hours. Occasional evening and
    weekend work. Will work longer hours during outages, which is typically once a
    year and last 4-12 weeks.

Position
Description:
  • Train for 12-14 weeks for the American Society of Mechanical
    Engineers (ASME)/National Board training/certification commissions.
  • 120 hours of on-the-job training with another Inspector to
    complete training process.
  • Perform new construction, repair, alteration and
    jurisdiction inspections of boilers and pressure vessels as required by the
    American Society of Mechanical Engineering Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
    (ASME Code) Sections III, and National Board Code including referenced
    construction codes and standards of our clients.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and equivalent (Military) work
    experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 years of boiler and/or high-pressure steam & water
    system maintenance/operation experience
  • 4+ years of mechanical experience with Boilers and Pressure
    Vessels in a power plant-Nuke or conventional MM/BT, or an SRO and/or a Steam
    PPWO/EOOW 3+ years
  • Navy Nuke EM or ET with a minimum of 3yrs qualified SRO
    experience
  • Quality Assurance inspections of mechanical equipment,
    water, and steam systems
  • Boiler and/or steam system maintenance and operation
  • Inspections on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and
    air conditioning systems
  • NBIC Boiler
    Inspector Qualification a plus
  • Insurance inspection service experience involving risk-based
    inspections and analysis
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office and web-based
    applications, Lotus Notes
  • Clean driving record and must be able to pass a background
    check.

Job Description

The Field Service Engineer II is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing automated instruments used in histology, cytology, and hematology. This position requires frequent travel to perform field service and some installation work. You will also conduct evaluations, testing, inspections, and training on company products.

Travel: Up to 75% domestic travel, primarily within the Southwest region and throughout the U.S. as needed

Key Responsibilities

Technical Repair Activities:
  • Repair medical instruments to manufacturer specifications
  • Decontaminate and clean biohazards from instruments before repair
  • Perform electrical safety tests
  • Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians, BMETs, and internal support teams (Help Desk-style guidance in-person, via phone, email, etc.)
  • Conduct field service repairs to minimize customer downtime
  • Perform quality inspections and evaluate procedures for future revisions
Training Activities:
  • Train Field Service Technicians, Independent Repair Vendors (IRVs), BMETs, and other personnel on instrument installation, decontamination, repair, and testing
  • Participate in developing and updating service manuals
  • Conduct training sessions on- and off-site as assigned
Information Management & Reporting:
  • Document service reports in compliance with FDA requirements
  • Draft service bulletins for distribution to IRVs and other partners
  • Coordinate product feedback with Manufacturing and Product Development teams
  • Analyze service failures and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Participate in meetings, task forces, and other collaborative groups
Quality / Business Systems:
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 certification standards
  • Recommend improvements to instrument quality and performance
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment
  • Recommend process improvements
  • Attend technical meetings and seminars as requested
  • Support special projects and other assigned tasks
  • Maintain professional internal and external communication
