 As an Electrical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair to facility and production equipment within different areas of the mill. You will be part of the United States Steel Workers Union workforce that has a tremendous relationship with management throughout the mill. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills, and should have experience with the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within industrial equipment, facilities, automated systems, and other mechanical/engineering systems. Electrical systems include motors, controls, motor controls, PLCs, MCCs, AC/DC systems, electrical schematics, analog electronics, AC/DC electrical drives, power conversion, instrumentation, and computer hardware. Ideal candidates will have good mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills and be creative problem solvers. Due to the nature of the business, the facilities operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year. Therefore, this position?may require work outside of normal hours during plant shutdown and any unplanned/unforeseen outages.


Shift: The plant runs 12-hour days and 12-hour night schedule Monday – Saturday, off Sunday. You will work days for 3-months then nights for 3-months on rotation. When fully staffed the plant will shift to a 5am-1pm / 1pm-9pm / 9pm-5am shift schedule.


Requirements:
