Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Lake Forest/Chicago (1-1.5 hours from major airport)

Shift: Mon-Fri. Revolving on call weekends (On Call schedules put out for each calendar year so will know when on call) + Guaranteed 40/ hrs a week. If on call, paid for 8 hours even if not called out.

Compensation: $28-$30/hr + $620 month vehicle stipened – Gas and vehicle services covered by company; personal and business use + $150 extra a day when on call

Travel: 85%. Travel is M-F unless scheduled for on call. Average 3-4 days traveling.

Position Description:

Responsible and accountable to travel to customer sites to install, service and repair food processing machinery. use deep technical knowledge to assist with and provide guidance in the testing of Company technologies and to provide assistance on troubleshooting issues for complex customer installations. The position is also responsible to generate and distribute technical reports regarding testing results.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.
A well-rounded Mechanical and Electrical Background; Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Knowledge/ experience with pneumatic, hydraulic power systems or control systems are a plus.
Strong active listening skills
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Ability to read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and manuals to determine work procedures.

Position Description: As a Mechanic III, you will play a key role in maintaining company’s diverse fleet of Motor Coaches and other passenger vehicles (primarily diesel-powered). Some other specific responsibilities include:
• Basic Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as brake changes, tire rotations, and replacements. Conduct preventative maintenance including lubrication and oil changes.
• Component Disassembly and Reassembly: Assist in the removal and installation of seats, glass, and other components. Disassemble and reconnect harnesses and lines as needed for repairs.
• Suspension and Braking Systems: Support suspension maintenance tasks, including the replacement of suspension components, and perform basic inspections and repairs on braking systems.
• Electrical Systems and Diagnostics: Develop your skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, ensuring all components function correctly and efficiently.
• Safety and Precision: Adhere to all safety practices, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of all tools and materials.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting and maintenance of engines or similar equipment (such as diesel generators, motors, etc).

Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Chicago (Hoffman Estates)
Compensation: $$25-$40 depending of the level

This position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing company CNC machines.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

7. Use electrical and electronic knowledge to help troubleshoot and solve issues
8. Read and utilize company repair manuals and work orders for assistance with repairs and diagnostics
9. Clean, replace or install parts to maintain smooth operation of machinery and equipment
10. Assemble, install, align equipment as needed
11. Accurately report technical conditions and information of machines to PSG and management
12. Interface with cross functional work teams such as applications, sales, engineering, production,
13. When needed, provide onsite training to customers for operation and/or repair of machines
14. Assist other Field Service Engineers as needed
15. Receive factory product training and technical service knowledge as needed
16. Submit organized and helpful service reports for each repair mission
17. Help to develop or adjust existing technical documentation
18. Work as required with minimal supervision in compliance with all safety requirements
19. Travel up to 100%. Travel includes regional and national Weekend travel maybe required as well.
20. Must be able to lift 70 pounds without aid

Experience/Education
Associates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience. Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful. Well-mannered, able to work with all different types of customers. Must have and maintain a clean and valid drivers license and record.

• Location: Milan, IL
• Schedule: Opportunity to travel often. Installation sites may be anywhere in the US and last from one to three weeks.
• Compensation: $32 to $34/hr plus OT (1.5x over 40 hrs) @ +5 to 10 hrs on project deployments, per diem $30/day, hotel stays paid for overnights

Position Description: The Site Supervisor is an on – site project lead for overhead conveyor installation services. You will have overall responsibility for project progress, safety and quality assurance and will also be a key player on the field as well as you yourself will jump in on project work like welding and assembly. Duties include:

• Communicate with the customer onsite as well as our office.
• Run an organized, safe and professional job site.
• Keep record for worker time sheets, safety toolbox talks, and other documentation required.
• Operate a forklift or scissor jack and manage overhead rigging and installation ops
• Operate hand power equipment such as saws, drills, impact guns.
• Enforce all sites specific job site rules, housekeeping, parking, lay down areas and other job- related requirements.
• Enforce 100% compliance to job-site safety regulations (hard hats, tool guards ect…)


The Fit: The company is looking to our hands-on military leaders from mechanical specialties. Machinist Mates, Hull Technicians or similar will be the primary fitment for this opening. Required skills include welding experience, ability to interpret drawings and operating powered hand tools. Ideal candidates will be a Work Center Supervisor or above.

Position Description:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent military experience or Associates Degree with 2 or more years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment
Will consider High School Diploma/GED and 10 or more years’ experience.
Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization.
Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products.
Moderate ability to self-Project Manage using MS Project or Excel.
Advanced ability to write test plans and reports detailing test results.

Requirements: The ideal candidate for this job is a PLC-experienced technician who possesses strong electrical skills, has a basic mechanical aptitude, and is an independent-minded, self-motivated individual comfortable working remotely. You must be service-oriented to satisfy client’s needs and build business relationships. Any experience with machinery and conveyor equipment experience is a strong plus as is familiarity with scheduling and expediting the turnaround time on service calls. You must have dependable transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance along with willingness to drive up to 2 hours at beginning and end of day for service work (paid time).

Must be able to read wiring schematics and troubleshoot DC and AC circuits.
Must have a basic understanding of PLCs, how they work, and how to make basic program changes and transfer programs. Allen Bradley software knowledge is a plus.
Must have basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Dependable transportation required, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.
