Job Description

ORION TALENT LogoAs a Pre-Construction Engineer, you will support distributed-generation and utility-scale solar PV projects from conceptual design through pre-construction, mechanical installation, and project completion. This position combines civil design, CAD, project coordination, field evaluation, subcontractor management, and construction planning.

You will develop construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, conduct field evaluations, verify construction against design specifications, resolve RFIs, coordinate subcontractors and other project resources, and support the transition from pre-construction into mechanical installation. Approximately half of your time will be spent in the Atlanta office and half supporting project sites.
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • Educational background or relevant industry experience in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • CAD experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interpret and verify engineering and construction drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

As a Field Service Engineer – Proton Therapy, you will support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of advanced proton therapy equipment used in cancer treatment. This highly technical position combines electrical, electronic, mechanical, computer, and networking troubleshooting in a customer-facing healthcare environment.

You will perform system checkout, equipment upgrades, Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP) activities, and technical diagnostics while ensuring proton therapy systems operate safely, reliably, and according to manufacturer specifications. You will also serve as a technical liaison with healthcare customers, provide equipment training, and support other proton therapy centers when required.
