Description

As a Service Technician Level I, you will support the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of industrial steam boilers and boiler house auxiliary systems in commercial and industrial environments. This is a hands-on field service role focused on diagnosing equipment malfunctions, executing repairs, and ensuring safe and reliable boiler system operations for customers.

The successful candidate will work independently in customer-facing environments while supporting preventive maintenance activities, equipment inspections, startup support, repairs, and operational troubleshooting. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates with maintenance, utilities, boiler, HVAC, steam systems, industrial operations, or military engineering backgrounds who enjoy troubleshooting and field service work.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of industrial steam boilers and auxiliary systems

• Proficient in wading process, mig welding and mass production metal fabrication processes. Tig welding a plus.
• Assists in troubleshooting process problems and forth Root Cause/Corrective Action to

• Assists in the running of sample parts and new job launches by parts the operation.  Makes the manufacturing floor aware of product specifications as well as placing material in Quarantine for review by appropriate departments
• Reviews scrap and rework on their respective shifts and puts forth corrective action.

Position Summary:

Die Setter is responsible for retrieving tooling and setting tooling and dies in press. The Die Setter will use check card and master sample for specifications to accurately make test part and inspect. When necessary die setter will make adjustments to ensure quality then green tag first good part. Die setter will verify product quality by inspection and measuring equipment

• Utilize forklift and crane to load material into machine
• Operate and troubleshoot machine parameters to ensure premium part quality
• Perform daily preventative maintenance and typically set up multiple jobs per day
• Utilize prints and work instructions to determine cutting specifications

Qualifications

• Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions
• Work with little direction (other than standard procedures)
• Having laser experience is preferred, especially Tube Laser
• Ability to understand and follow at MEC safety policies and procedures
• Demonstrate a dedication to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy
