• Compensation: Level 1: $26-$33/hr
Level 2: $34-$39/hr
Level 1 requires proficient experience conducting mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on generators/diesel engines.
Level 2 requires, Level 1 experience + knowledge and some experience working on the Electrical systems, Switchgear, load balancing, etc.

Atlanta – needs a solid Level II candidate
Bakersfield – a solid Level I or a Level II candidate

Position Description: perform operations, startups, preventative & corrective maintenance on commercial generators, low to medium voltage switchgear, and battery storage equipment at customer locations in your region. Duties will include:
• Repair and service all makes and models of Generator Sets.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Volvo, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere and MTU.
• Troubleshoot, repair and program switchgear.
• Inspect, repair, service and start-up load bank test requirements on equipment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.
• Thorough and timely completion of job documentation.
• Provide on call services as required.

Requirements:
• Four or more years of commercial/industrial experience working on generators, engines, switchgear and controllers. Volvo engine experience a plus.
• 20% overnight travel.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, background check and drug screen
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook email/calendars
• OEM Training, certification and/or EGSA certification preferred

Requirements:
• Premium compensation rates for all Generator Technicians
• Double Time for ER Callouts 6PM - 6AM

Physical Demands
Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work.

Requirements:

Advanced level ability to interact and communicate (written and verbal) information to varying levels within the organization.

Educate customers on basic operation of their equipment, informing them of issues they may experience and the necessary corrective actions.
Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
Maintain and safeguard company-issued tools and equipment.
Troubleshoot critical power systems down to the root cause and perform repairs with minimum customer downtime or site operation disruption.
Protect company proprietary information, manuals, and records.
Maintain vehicle in safe and operational condition and always maintain current insurance and a valid license.
