Description

We are seeking a skilled and driven Trade Manager to lead a high-performing HVAC service operation. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field service activities, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across residential and light commercial customers.

• Lead daily operations of a high-volume HVAC service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and workflow management
• Supervise, train, and develop HVAC service technicians to improve technical skills, productivity, and customer service performance
• Evaluate daily workload and assign jobs to maximize efficiency and response times across the field team
• Provide hands-on leadership, including technical support, troubleshooting guidance, and field coaching as needed
• Oversee job completion quality, customer satisfaction, and service standards across all technicians
• Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of technicians and field staff
• Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, sales teams, and field personnel to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, job notes, and performance reporting within company systems
• Monitor team performance metrics and implement improvements to drive efficiency and accountability
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and HVAC industry regulations
• Stay current on HVAC technologies, equipment updates, and service best practices
• Foster a culture of leadership, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 5+ years of HVAC, mechanical, field service, or operations management experience preferred
• Military leadership experience strongly encouraged (E6 / NCO-level or higher leadership experience highly valued)
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage teams in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Technical understanding of residential and light commercial HVAC systems preferred
• Ability to train and coach technicians on diagnostics and service procedures
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and service management systems)
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Ability to work in field environments, including occasional physical demands and outdoor conditions
• High energy, strong work ethic, and a solutions-focused mindset

Description

The Boiler and Combustion Technician would work alongside engineers and other technicians, performing a variety of field tests using specialized instruments to measure airflow, coal flow, flue gas species, and other parameters on large utility boilers.  In addition, the individual may be required to perform lab/analytical tasks such as sieving coal samples and entering and checking test data, equipment maintenance, preparing for field service jobs, and other duties while in the Alabaster warehouse. Extensive travel is required, with a minimum of 50% of the total time spent in the field. 

• Strong technical, mechanical, and computer skills (proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook)

• Strong math skills for analysis of field-testing data • Experience working in a power plant or similar environment is a plus

• Hobbies that show technical inclination are also a plus

• Excellent physical condition and willing to work in physically demanding environments (high temperatures, loud, dusty, etc.)

• Available to travel extensively throughout the United States and abroad (up to 50% of the time) 

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record: NO tickets, NO accidents.  Clean Background. Drug-Free

Description

• Test, inspect, adjust, and repair mechanical building systems
• Align, service, and replace hot water heating, chilled water, and condenser water pumps
• Inspect, service, and operate water heating and low-pressure steam systems
• Repair and replace steam, hot water, and chiller system components
• Perform daily operation and maintenance of chilled water generating equipment (non-refrigerant side)
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and operate cooling towers
• Repair and replace air handler components, dampers, coils, fans, and generator engines
• Inspect, test, clean, lubricate, and monitor fire pumps and related equipment
• Shut down, start up, repair, and install irrigation systems
• Reset and program building master clocks and lighting panels
• Flush and winterize heating and cooling coils
• Notify supervision of equipment, supply, and facility repair needs
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and follow established operating procedures

• Technical training in mechanical maintenance
• Minimum 3 years of applicable mechanical experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to procedures
• Professional, cooperative communication skills when interacting with coworkers and the public

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• HVAC system experience
• Experience with steam, chilled water, or institutional facility systems
• Military mechanical background (highly valued)
