• Title: Maintenance Technician
• Location: Antioch, IL (halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee, on the IL/WI border)
• Shift/Schedule: 3rd shift (four 10-hr shifts, Mon – Thurs, 8p – 6:30a); occasional partial shift on Fridays
• Compensation: Target base rate ~$30/hr - $35/hr + $2/hr shift premium

Position Description: As a Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift, you will be responsible for advanced repairs, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. This role is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the entire manufacturing operation including shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions. You must have the maturity and confidence to work autonomously, as you often will be the only maintenance technician during the shift. Some other specific responsibilities include:
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned.
• Read and understand manuals, technical drawings, schematics.
• Assist with proper documentation of parts inventory.
• Understand how to set up and run production assets as a secondary responsibility.
• Perform PM and repair tasks on all facets of Company facility and property.
• Understand and perform all Company safety procedures and policies including proper LOTO procedures.
• Efficiently operate the maintenance computer system for time entry and work order generation in accordance with Company standards.
• Troubleshoot basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic issues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees, working as a team player.
• Strive to perform in a highly effective manner to ensure customers receive excellent service and a quality food safe product.
• Support Company Brand Essence by performing in a highly responsive, collaborative, mindful, and personal manner.
• Responsible for all Food Safety policies, procedures and standards including compliance with the following:
o Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
o Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
o Knife Policy; Glass and Brittle Plastic Policy
o Sanitation Procedures; Pest Control Procedure; Non-Conforming Product Procedure

In order to be successful in this role, you should have exceptional hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with electrical and mechanical elements of industrial equipment - including conveyors, motors, hydraulics, PLCs, pumps, etc – ideally in a manufacturing or production setting.

Title: Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Technician
Location: Elwood, IL (Chicagoland)
Shift: 12-hour rotation shift. Two consecutive days 6:00am-6:30pm followed by two consecutive night shifts 6:00pm-6:30pm then 4 consecutive days off!
Compensation: $37-$43/hr. starting base rate, depending on skills and experience + O/T for any bi-weekly hours worked over 80. Paid bi-weekly. Pay is negotiable based on experience level coming into the role.

Position Description: The Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Technician is responsible for all electrical instrumentation & controls functions of machines and equipment across the paper facility including preventive and non-preventive maintenance. Duties include:
• Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and repair of photo eyes, switches, PLC input/output modules, control wiring, motors, VFD drives, and soft starts up to 4160 volts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot device encoders, load cells, hydraulic systems, burners, and boiler controls.
• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot pressure, level, flow, temperature, and measurement transmitters.
• Tune process control loops and machine control systems.
• Some familiarity with DCS, PLC, and HMI interfaces.
• Some familiarity with DCS & PLC control systems.
• Troubleshooting ladder logic, block logic, sequential logic, or statement logic-controlled systems.
• Troubleshoot, configure, and implement integrated & stand-along HMI & communication protocols.
• Train operators in performing minor maintenance tasks.
• Apply high-level of safety standards & ensuring workplace safety (lockout/tagout, PPE, etc.)

Requirements:
• HS Diploma/GED
• 2+ years of demonstrated electrical experience in controls or instrumentation – OR – a combination of electrical experience with an associate degree in related field. Must have solid instrumentation skills.
• Must pass a 15-question multiple choice basic electrical assessment (formulas are provided!) covering Ohms Laws, parts of simple motors & starters, testing a 3-phase motor, 480V 3-phase variable frequency drive, test heaters elements, basic troubleshooting, meter reading, and blueprint reading.

Position Description:
As a Maintenance Tech you are to ensure that all electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current, troubleshooting during unscheduled equipment downtime, repairs, and complete preventive maintenance service.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production. Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment.
• Performs duties including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.
• Supports an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5S
• Responsible for maintaining and performing repairs to the facility and participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• One or more years of demonstrated experience in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications as well as thorough trouble shooting skills.
• Prior or transitioning US Navy Electricians Mate or Machinist Mate or other Ratings/MOS/AFSCs with similar backgrounds

• Maintain and troubleshoot device encoders, load cells, hydraulic systems, burners, and boiler controls.
• Troubleshoot & maintain Honeywell QCS mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Maintain facility electrical power distribution.
• Use test equipment, meggers, oscilloscopes, motor analyzers, signal generators, computers & software.
• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot valve pressure, level, flow, temperature, and measurement transmitters.
• Tune process control loops and machine control systems.
• Program and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, and HMI interfaces.
• Perform configuration/logic modifications to DCS & PLC control systems.
• Modify programming in ladder logic, block logic, sequential logic, and statement logic.

Position Description: This role exists to provide controls engineering support to assigned product lines. The key internal customers are the project engineers, product line managers, manufacturing and purchasing departments. Key external customers include vendors, the Technical Support Team, the field service technicians and end customers. The deliverables from this role are electrical engineering design, programming for logic controllers and visualization interface, and technical support.

The individual working in this position is expected to accountable for product lines that typically will be newer and mid-market level models with occasional sale order specials and product extension assignments. A solid technical knowledge base for design and programming is established within this individual, to where you are able to handle most assignments and a standard level of technology with minimal support. You should be able to provide a reasonable amount of support and training to lower level staff on most subjects, and be able to coordinate a portion of your work through others. You should also be capable of identifying and producing moderate level standards, engineering tools, and process improvement initiatives with some direction from the Controls Manager. Some specific responsibilities include:
• Maintain a fully documented and accurate electrical design and control programs that comply with established company and industry standards.
• Maintain a cost balance for the electrical design that achieves the lowest base cost with the highest manufacturing efficiency and lowest warranty. This balance should also account for the highest operational efficiency and lowest maintenance requirement.
• Produce electrical design/program changes to support sale orders, product improvements, and change requests/non-conformances for assigned product lines.
• Provide timely, complete, and consistent technical support to internal and external business customers as required in support of assigned product lines.
• Support the Controls Team to increase output, standardization, and repeatability of designs and programs through developing and continuously improving engineering tools and work processes.
• Develop controls standards.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have a BS in Engineering (ideally EE and or Controls) or related technical field. Extensive relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. You should have working knowledge of CAD software (specifically AutoCad and Solidworks) and be proficient with Rockwell Automation and Programming tools and Allen-Bradley hardware.
