Position Description: Controls Technician
The Controls Technician ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to company build specifications using standard techniques and approach. As such, you will conduct the electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.

Additional duties and responsibilities will include:
• Review electrical, hydraulic and controls drawings submitted to the company by OEM’s for compliance to equipment standards.
• Communicate with the project “team” to ensure a constant level of project awareness.
• Integrate, develop, and trouble-shoot programs for a number of different machine controllers, servo systems, motion controllers, robotics, HMI’s and related components in a timely and efficient manner, using company standard techniques and approach.
• Develop a machine “bill of materials” and coordinate the procurement of these materials with the purchasing department and/or the MPS Coordinator, using company standard procedure and process.
• Coordinate with maintenance technicians and electricians on a timely basis to ensure that all drawings, manuals, sequence of operation, PLC and HMI programs, etc., are kept current and correct. The controls engineer will be responsible for the maintenance / upkeep of the “back up program files” based in the Maintenance CAD file on the intranet.
• Attend certain technical training classes, as deemed necessary by the maintenance / facilities manager, and pass this knowledge along to electricians, maintenance technicians, interns, and/or electrical apprentices.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate possesses a strong electrical/mechanical aptitude and previous experience in a controls technician role. You should also have a strong working knowledge and previous experience troubleshooting PLC programming.

Position Description: Responsible for all mechanical and electrical maintenance of process equipment and general facility equipment.
• Must be able to modify, maintain, and install PLC programs.
• Identify PLC problems, troubleshoot PLCs and maintain PLC updated documentation and wiring.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and install mechanical, electrical (PLC's), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to provide maximum percentage of uptime possible.
• Troubleshoots and fixes manufacturing equipment at the plant.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breakers panels.
• Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.
• Monitors and ensures that the equipment is in excellent condition for operation.
• Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies/programs within Department responsibilities.

Requirements:
• Ability to independently troubleshoot PLC’s (Siemens & Rockwell).
• PLC programming experience a major plus
• Read electrical schematic drawings - ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic schematics.

Position Description: In this role you will perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all electrical and/or mechanical systems associated with production and facilities equipment at the company’s carton manufacturing plant in Raleigh, NC. Some specific responsibilities include:
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production and facilities equipment.
• Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. (Electrician)
• Work with AC & DC drives, instrumentation, transducers, and hydraulic/pneumatic controls. (Electrician)
• Understand and follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment. (Electrician)
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. (Electrician)
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keeps accurate maintenance records.
• Install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices as required. (Electrician)
• Use computer to check status of jobs/electrical repairs that need to be completed. (Electrician)
• Inspect and test electrical malfunctions, using testing instrument, manuals, guides, and blueprints, etc. (Electrician)
