Position Description
As an Operator, you will work rotating shifts on various units within the refinery which process or produce crude oil, petroleum coke, fuel oil, intermediates, gasoline, diesel, steam, electricity and other products. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining equipment and operations.
• Climbing ladders, tanks and towers.
• Taking samples/readings of various process streams.
• Initiating work orders and permitting for work related to the assigned unit.
• Maintaining proper and safe process operations of the operating equipment.
• Serving on the refinery emergency response fire brigade.

Position Details:
Location: Linden, NJ
Salary: $31.27/hr (day rate - 8 hrs) and $27.44/hr (shift rate - 12 hrs). You will work a 12-hr. rotating shift schedule (EOWEO). You will be on the 8-hr. rate only through training, approximately 6-8 weeks. The 12 hr. rate includes 4 hours scheduled overtime.
Schedule: You will work a compressed work schedule (generally work 48 hours one week, 36 hours the next, rotating between days and nights approximately every 2 weeks), which means guaranteed paid overtime. Your schedule will be 2 on, 2 off then 3 on, 2 off and then 2 on, 3 off.
Benefits: Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package; to include matching 401K to 6%, Medical, Dental Insurance, Profit Sharing.

Requirements:
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must be able to climb up to 250 feet in height – tanks and towers.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection).
• Must be able to perform fire-fighting duties.
• Must be able to work with petroleum products.
• Must be able to read technical procedures and materials in English.
• Must be able to learn computer software associated with process operations.

Instrument Technician (Belle Chasse, LA)

Position Description
As an Instrument Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, calibration and repairs on refinery instrumentation. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting, removing, repairing and reinstalling various equipment, to include control loops, controllers, transmitters, pressure and flow meters, gauges, recorders, sensors, meters, automated valves and switches and instruments.
• Troubleshooting instrumentation controlled by distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment, vibration and temperature monitoring systems.
• Performing instrument calibration, tracing and testing analog and digital circuits and components to locate defective parts, checking interlocks, checking automatic pneumatic furnace shutdown systems, maintaining environmental monitoring systems for air and water and maintaining process analyzers for product quality.
• Performing preventative maintenance and maintenance as scheduled, as required, as well as during turnarounds and outages.
• Interpreting of schematic diagrams according to common industry practice, reading and interpreting process and instrument diagrams.
• Following all corporate Health, Safety and Environmental policies and guidelines.

Requirements:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must have an Associate's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Engineering Technology or 3 years or more of industrial instrumentation experience.
• Must possess a valid Transportation Workers' Identification Credential (TWIC) or qualify for a TWIC card by start date.
• Must be willing and able, with or without accommodation, to perform/comply with the following:
? Work overtime (including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts).
? Lift up to 50 pounds.
? Work in enclosed spaces such as tanks and silos.
? Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines.
? Climb up to 200 feet in height; work at elevated heights.
? Work around chemicals, including acids and bases.
? Wear Nomex fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toed shoes, ear/eye protection).
? Maintain face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly.
? Ability to be on call and respond to callouts during off hours due to business necessity.
? Work outside in harsh weather conditions.
? Ability to lift, climb, walk, kneel, and squat on a regular basis.
• 5 or more years of experience in lock out/tag out procedures is preferred.
• 5 or more years of refinery maintenance, turnaround and/or shutdown work experience is preferred.
• Experience developing analysis methods and performing troubleshooting and repairs is preferred.
• Demonstrated communications and teamwork skills is preferred.
• SAP proficiency is preferred.
• Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify corrective actions, and analyze/document complex inspection and repair information is preferred.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred.
• Being proactive and results-oriented is preferred.
• Able to effectively interact with all organizational levels and value diversity is preferred.
