Key Responsibilities

Position Details
Location: Ghent, KY
Compensation: You can realistically expect your 1st year total compensation to be $108K – $113.6K
Base & Productivity ($43.34 – $45.50/hr, to start): $94,655 – $99,372
Average Overtime (10%): $13,522 – $14,196
An important component of your Total Compensation is a Weekly Productivity/Incentive Bonus Plan that currently averages 140% of your weekly pay (and that percentage is expected to increase significantly over the next year). Raises are excellent and dependent on how hard you want to work on getting maintenance qualifications completed; hard charging technicians can earn up to a 21.5% raise (depending on what you qualify) within the first year or so for meeting qualifications on multiple plant equipment. Promotions provide outstanding compensation, which is why so many former military service members work here.
Shift: 12-hour rotating shift schedule. (Modified Dupont Schedule // during this schedule you will work 7 day shifts and 7 night shifts with 7 off days out of the first 21 days of the 28-day cycle, followed by 7 days off in a row, before the 28-day cycle starts again). This shift is popular with the employees because you will get a week off every month, and it allows you to plan your vacation days to give yourself 2 weeks of vacation with only having to use up 3-5 of your vacation days!

Position Description
As an Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
• Maintain electrical systems for all production and facilities equipment in the plant.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that all preventative and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
• Work with engineers and other employees to develop new processes to make the facility more efficient.
• This position requires that you work in a steel plant environment, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

Position Requirements
• From a technical perspective, must be able to demonstrate good electrical systems troubleshooting and repair skills, as well as a strong working knowledge of such electrical test equipment as multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, and clamp-on ammeters.
• Demonstrated history of safe work practices and the ability to work with minimal direction.
• Be prepared to demonstrate the ability to interpret drawings for repair, installation and maintenance of complex electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and equipment.
• Experience with AC and DC drives (ABB Drives experience a plus), medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, PLCs, and computers is expected.
• Extensive electrical and electro-mechanical knowledge to repair the wide variety of equipment in the plant, and great mechanical aptitude as well.
• Help drive continuous improvements in production tracking, process efficiency, and plant automation.
