The Engineer in Training Program is an entry point into a field service engineering career supporting power-generation facilities throughout the United States. Participants receive a combination of classroom, laboratory, and hands-on field training focused on the maintenance, inspection, repair, and upgrade of large-scale gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators.
During the first year, participants complete classroom and lab training in Orlando along with on-the-job training at customer power-generation sites nationwide. After completing the training program, Seasonal Field Engineers supervise technicians and mechanics during planned and unplanned turbine-generator outages, coordinate equipment maintenance and upgrades, work with engineering teams, and serve as a primary customer contact during field assignments. The seasonal schedule includes approximately eight months of heavy field deployment with approximately four months off each year. Job Requirements

These are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position.


  • Experience in residential HVAC
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and office team
  • Professional appearance and personality
