Compressor Mechanic

Northeast
US Navy, E-5

Previous to my civilian career, I held a supervisory position in the Navy as an E-5 Machinist Mate. My military training helps a lot as far as the training, knowledge, and basic daily activities of my new career. The Navy prepares a person without the person even knowing they’re being prepared for the next step in life.

I came to Orion through a colleague’s referral. Mike Wooster treated me as if he knew me for years but always maintained professionalism. By all means and at all costs, he heard me clearly and made things happen based around my schedule.

I submitted my resume via the Orion website and heard back from Mike the next day. He called with a job already in mind, so he did his research before he called me. That job did not turn out to be the job for me, so he kept his foot on the gas pedal and went to the next stop. Soon after, he emailed me info on Valerus, my new employer, and asked if I was interested. My reply was 'most definitely!'

Orion recruiters are straight forward and very friendly on a professional level. The drive they have is one that only veterans can have. Motivation + Drive = Success, and Orion recruiters use this equation every time they pick up a phone to contact a veteran! I applaud them. Keep up the good work, and I will tell all my friends leaving the military who are looking for work to stop first at Orion!
