Location: Memphis, TN
Shift: Monday–Friday, occasional weekends as needed
Compensation: Salaried, Non-Exempt; $180K–$200K annually plus $18K car allowance

Position Summary:
The Commissioning Lead oversees all commissioning activities for the Titan 350 Power Plant, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and high-voltage systems are tested, integrated, and operational. This role manages commissioning teams, collaborates with construction and engineering staff, and guarantees compliance with project specs and safety standards. Candidates should have 10+ years in power plant commissioning and experience transitioning large-scale energy projects from construction to operation.
The Commissioning Lead oversees all commissioning activities for the Titan 350 Power Plant, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and high-voltage systems are tested, integrated, and operational. This role manages commissioning teams, collaborates with construction and engineering staff, and guarantees compliance with project specs and safety standards. Candidates should have 10+ years in power plant commissioning and experience transitioning large-scale energy projects from construction to operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commissioning of turbines, SCR, BOP, electrical distribution, and high-voltage systems
- Develop and implement commissioning plans with thorough testing and validation
- Supervise multidisciplinary commissioning teams to ensure safety and efficiency
- Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site safety protocols
- Verify installation and commissioning per engineering, manufacturer, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate system integration, including SCADA and DCS
- Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues
- Collaborate with construction and engineering teams for seamless project transition
- Maintain detailed commissioning documentation and reports
- Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in power plant commissioning, with 5+ years in supervisory roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred; relevant certifications or equivalent trade experience accepted
- Deep knowledge of gas turbines, SCR, BOP, high-voltage infrastructure, and control systems (SCADA, DCS)
- Familiarity with IEEE, NEC, EPA, and other regulatory standards
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Physically able to perform fieldwork, including climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in confined spaces or at heights
Preferred:
- Experience commissioning gas-fired or combined-cycle plants
- Proficiency with PLCs, DCS, and high-voltage commissioning protocols
- Familiarity with commissioning software and diagnostic tools
Work Environment:
- Field-based at Titan 350 construction site with exposure to heavy machinery and high-voltage equipment
- Physically demanding with walking, climbing, and extended hours including weekends as needed
