We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Inside Sales to lead and develop our regional sales leadership team, driving revenue growth and expanding our presence across the U.S. and Canada. This second-line leadership role is responsible for managing and coaching a team of inside sales managers, who in turn lead high-performing inside sales representatives. The Director will play a critical role in scaling our sales organization, growing our partner ecosystem, and delivering against ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in B2B hardware sales, channel-centric go-to-market models, and building high-performing teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Lead and scale the North American Inside Sales teams to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Team Management and Development: Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent; set clear goals, provide coaching, and foster a performance-driven culture.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align strategies and execute regional go-to-market plans.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work Cross-functionally with the Channel Sales Organization and Marketing Organization to launch and execute campaigns and sales plays
- Forecasting & Reporting: Own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting using CRM and sales enablement tools.
- Customer Engagement: Actively participate in high-impact customer meetings and executive-level engagements to drive strategic deals.
- Market Intelligence: Gather feedback from the field to inform product development and competitive positioning.
Reporting Relationship and Accountability
This position reports to Vice President of Americas Sales.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of sales leadership experience in B2B technology, with 3 years in second-line leadership, and at least 5 years in IT channel (Preferably in storage, data protection, or infrastructure hardware)
- Proven track record of leading teams to exceed $15M+ annual revenue targets.
- Formalized experience in coaching teams using one or more sales methodologies (The Challenger Sale, New Solution Sales, The Art of Negotiation, etc)
- Deep understanding of channel and partner-led sales models.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
- Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales automation platforms (Revenuegrid, Zoominfo, Conversation Intelligence)
- Willingness to travel as needed (25-50%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience launching and scaling sales operations in early-stage companies.
- Background in secure storage, backup, or disaster recovery products.
- Strong network of VARs, MSPs, and distributors in North America
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
