Position Description: Director National Sales
Company Products division offers the industry’s broadest line of specialty fasteners, plates, insulation adhesives, retrofit roof drains, pipe supports and productivity tools. We employ one of the largest North American direct sales forces in the accessories industry and the Director of Sales is responsible for leading this team to deliver on sales targets. Key to the position’s success is ability to implement strategic plans that produce revenue forecasted, increase profitability, and result in an excellent level of customer service.
Location: Agawam, MA
Compensation: $125-150k+bonus– W2 Target – 195-200K
Travel: 40-60% National Coverage

Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of the company
Implement strategic plan that achieves business unit and corporate goals.
Work together with the Director of Marketing to develop the Sales Forecast, and set
performance goals accordingly.
Determine customer needs, price schedules, policy, and discount rates using market
analysis and business unit performance statistics.
Develop Regional Managers to deliver strategic plan through effective staffing,
training, and performance management.
Provide support necessary to Marketing and Operations.
Define sales territories, quotas, and goals as necessary to achieve success.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, communicating
performance, negotiating and closing deals and providing end user sales support.
Guarantee fill rates with effective communication with Sales support functions (Product Managers, Customer Service, Marketing) and Operations (Supply Chain,
Production and Distribution).
Ensure spending meets budget requirements.
Prepare monthly sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of
Work closely with Marketing and Advanced Engineering on new product
development as it relates to customer needs and preferences.
Monitor and evaluate competitive products and activities.
Perform other tasks as requested.
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree or equivalent.
5+ years Sales experience with proven track record of results.
Full, working knowledge of RP products and services, and competitive products and
Experience collecting and analyzing sales data related to RP business.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong
customer relations and develop a world class sales team and programs.
Creative problem solving and negotiation skills.
