Job Description

Position Descriptions: Estimating Engineer
The individual chosen for this opportunity must be self-motivated, very detailed, a team player and capable of working on several projects simultaneously. As an Estimating Engineer you will collect and analyze data in order to estimate the time, money, materials, and labor required to fabricate assemblies for the aerospace industry.

• Utilize fabrication experience to review drawing requirements and identify special requirements or possible processing concerns; gather team as required to discuss risk factors and develop process.
• Determine if the items submitted fit within the company’s manufacturing capabilities and product scope
• Utilize Our ERP system and other estimating tools to calculate material, manufacturing time/cost, and prepare final proposals for review/submission.
• Organize group packages to be able to present value or lack of value to the company
• Work closely with customers as well as estimating team including purchasing, quality, operations, and staff to meet business strategies.
• Track performance of open, quoted, win/loss RFQ’s to provide feedback and understand performance
• Track actuals on major quotes won to ensure assumptions are holding true and modify with team input as required.
• Perform reviews of the estimating process and provide suggestions for improvements that may be beneficial to the continued growth of the company
• Performs other related duties as required.

Position Details: X1 opening
Travel: Employee can live in Ohio or Indiana – relocation package available
Schedule: Flexible 8-hour hybrid workday (Monday – Friday)
Salary: First year W2 ~ $85K - $95K + company bonus + annual pay increases

• 2-5 years aerospace experience preferred; knowledge of General Electric, Pratt and Whitney or Rolls Royce power systems is desired. Technical degree is applicable in lieu of experience
• Some MRP (GCSS, RSUPPLY, NALCOMIS ect is applicable) experience as well as understanding sourcing of components and services is a plus
• GD&T proficiency preferred
