Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to ensure process and product conformity with the IATF 16949:2016 automotive quality standard within our Lithium Hydroxide production unit. This role works cross-functionally with Manufacturing, R&D, Commercial, and Quality teams to meet site quality objectives and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality initiatives using statistical tools to enhance process effectiveness and ensure compliance
- Conduct root cause analysis and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for quality issues and customer complaints
- Perform internal audits and maintain comprehensive quality documentation
- Support supplier qualification and ongoing supplier development
- Apply statistical methods such as control charting, capability analysis, hypothesis testing, and confidence interval evaluation
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015, FDA, and ICH standards across production units
- Facilitate training to improve quality awareness and process improvements
- Promote and enforce plant safety standards and regulatory compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (required)
- 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in chemical production
- Experience with IATF 16949:2016 or earlier automotive quality standards is a plus
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and statistical software (e.g., Minitab)
