Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for Test Systems Technician positions with a dominant technology provider of RF/microwave, microelectronics, and security technologies for critical and high-reliability applications.

Position Details
Location: Marlborough, MA
Compensation: $62,400 + OT for 1st shift. $64,480 + OT for 2nd shift.
Schedule: Openings on 1st shift (7:00am to 3pm) and 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) – Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday (about once a month)

Position Description
As a Test Systems Technician, you will examine parts for conformance with dimensional specifications, using precision measuring instruments.? You will provide technical support to Computer System and Test Engineers by constructing, maintaining, and repairing test systems. Responsibilities will include:
• Inspect, measure, and test using electronic measuring equipment and microscope.
• To determine if machines and equipment are processing electrical circuit cards according to company standards.
• Analyze test results using engineering specifications and calculator.
• Write report on equipment repair or recalibration recommendations as well as any operator procedure violations.
• Assist engineers with running experiments, creating documentation and operational methods sheets for production test equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuit cards to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Mechanical assembly of automated test systems to include drilling and tapping holes, mounting test equipment, and routing cable harnesses.
• Create test systems wiring harness from electrical schematics.
• Wire and configure various customer equipment for testing in the EMC department.
• Wire and repair production test fixtures.
• Build and repair RD coaxial cabling assemblies.
• Run custom product verification tests in the lab.

Position Requirements
• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology or equivalent AND 1+ years of experience as a quality inspector or technician. Military electronics training is a substitute. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active security clearance or ability to get interim security clearance.
• Electrical background.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience in testing processes.
• Computer spreadsheet knowledge.
