  • Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 base + travel and overtime
    • First-year average total compensation: $125K+
    • Second year and beyond: $200K+ potential

Position Summary:
The Field Service Engineer supports critical power facilities by performing startup, maintenance, and emergency service for automatic transfer switches and related power control equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, customer service orientation, and extensive travel.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a technical expert on automatic transfer switches and power control systems
  • Provide on-site support for system startups, modifications, warranty service, repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable safety policies and regulations
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients in a professional, customer-service-focused manner
  • Identify opportunities to expand project scopes and negotiate any additional service charges
  • Remain on-call 24/7 for emergency support needs
  • Accurately interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Maintain proper documentation and complete projects within time and budget parameters


Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in:
    • Field service engineering
    • Low to medium voltage power systems (supporting data centers, airports, etc.)
    • Automatic transfer switch testing
    • Reading schematics and blueprints
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industry standards
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in power distribution, DC/AC systems, and voltage circuit theory
  • Excellent time management, follow-up, and customer service capabilities
