Pay Range:
- Level 1: $28-$33/hr
- Level 2: $33-$43/hr

What You'll Do:
As a Generator Service
Technician, you'll perform operations, startups, and preventive/corrective
maintenance on commercial generators, battery storage systems, and
low/medium-voltage switchgear at customer locations across Eastern NC.

low/medium-voltage switchgear at customer locations across Eastern NC.
Core Responsibilities:
- Service and repair a wide range of generator sets (all makes/models)
- Troubleshoot engines (Volvo, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU)
- Program and repair switchgear
- Conduct inspections and load bank testing
- Provide exceptional customer service and timely job documentation
- Be part of an on-call rotation (ER callouts = Double Time from 6PM-6AM)
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with generators, engines, switchgear, and controllers (Volvo engine experience a plus)
- Strong written/verbal communication and Microsoft Office skills
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screen
- Able and willing to travel (up to 20% overnight)
Physical Requirements:
- 85% hands-on work at customer sites; 15% admin/tech support
- Lift/carry up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, wear PPE, drive company truck up to 10 hours
