Position Description:
The Electrical/Cable Build Group Lead will oversee cable building and harnessing activities, ensuring quality and efficiency in production. This role includes supervising a team, coordinating daily assignments, and participating in assembly, debugging, and testing of electrical subassemblies in complex systems. The position also requires contributing to documentation, providing engineering feedback, assisting in ERP work order completion, and training new associates to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate manufacturing cable building under the direction of the Operations Manager.
- Assign daily tasks and provide direct supervision to team members.
- Participate in assembly, debugging, and testing of electrical subassemblies.
- Assist in creating new product or subassembly documentation and work instructions.
- Provide feedback to engineering regarding documentation errors or omissions via ECRs.
- Complete ERP work order paperwork for accurate processing and costing.
- Train new associates on documented standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience building cables and harnesses.
- Skilled in soldering, crimping, and reading schematics.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proactive with demonstrated leadership ability.
