Position Description:
As an Electrical Engineer III, you will work closely with sales, project managers, procurement, production, quality assurance, and customers to design, modify, and support product development. You will supervise and mentor Junior Electrical Engineers, ensuring projects meet technical requirements, safety standards, timelines, and budgets. This role requires a strong problem solver with an excellent eye for design, proven leadership ability, and experience in power distribution systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Meet with stakeholders to establish requirements for new or existing products/electrical systems.
  • Mentor a team of Junior Electrical Engineers supporting sales, product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance.
  • Allocate and oversee project development and design tasks.
  • Develop electrical designs including single line diagrams, bills of material, and wiring lists.
  • Promote and maintain an electrical safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Participate in technical reviews and customer meetings to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure designs meet client needs, applicable regulations, engineering standards, and project timelines.
  • Develop and supervise factory/on-site acceptance test plans.
  • Produce designs focused on manufacturability, assembly, and electrical reliability.
  • Create prototypes, conduct testing, and analyze results.
  • Support the build process to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Analyze and resolve problems during manufacturing.
  • Manage deliverables including BOMs, drawings, manuals, submittals, test plans, and project close-outs.
  • Manage change control and documentation.
  • Provide occasional travel and off-hours support if required.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum 7 years of power distribution experience (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical system diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with E-Plan, Promis-e, AutoCAD Electrical, and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
