Description
Leads the Technical Operations production team, ensuring all molding, automation, and production assistant team members are trained, motivated, and prepared to meet daily production demands successfully.
- Lead and mentor a team of molding, automation, and production assistant technicians in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and improve injection molding and automation processes using scientific molding/automation practices
- Troubleshoot and maintain production-approved molds and automation equipment
- Create and maintain process setup datasheets, work instructions, protocols, and documentation
- Monitor machine performance and ensure optimal production standards at all times
- Direct production scheduling for all Technical Operations technicians
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment using 5S and lean methodologies
- Perform formal individual and group training sessions on molding and automation
- Support various shifts and occasional weekends as needed
- Recommend and implement production process improvements
- Utilize root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve molded part defects and automation issues
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in injection molding operations, with leadership responsibilities preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; capable of learning SAP and File Maker databases
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to mentor and build team spirit
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical production issues
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Excellent attendance and dependability record; able to work flexible shifts if required
