Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: M-F day shift with the possibility of some weekends and extended hours
Compensation: $75-80K

Position Description: The Controls Engineer is responsible for research, design, development, testing, installation, and modification of operational machinery, electrical control equipment, electrical circuitry, and components.

• Evaluates control systems, products, components, and applications.
• Evaluates new manufacturing and control technologies, adapting into specifications as appropriate.
• Confirms control system functionality, including appropriate safety compliance, by designing and/or executing test procedures.
• Prepares and/or reviews electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls drawings; collaborates with related engineering teams to evaluate components, materials, and suppliers.
• Ensures integrity of process and build data collection.
• Works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, IT, Safety, and Operations to ensure that all equipment and processes are properly designed, implemented, and launched.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or technical training equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience with manufacturing processes and equipment interaction (including internships or other educational programs).
• Willingness and ability to adopt flexible work hours to support manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interact with machinery through HMI or laptop connection.
• Troubleshoot, read, and edit PLC logic and CNC programs.
• Knowledge of Fanuc robots – recovery and teaching points on a teach pendant.
• Experience in Allen Bradley PLC’s, Servo Controllers, HMI products, and software.
