Position Summary:
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair complex laser systems and components, providing exceptional technical support and training. You’ll diagnose issues, coordinate with factory engineers for advanced troubleshooting, deliver remote assistance when needed, and relay customer feedback for product improvements.
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair complex laser systems and components, providing exceptional technical support and training. You’ll diagnose issues, coordinate with factory engineers for advanced troubleshooting, deliver remote assistance when needed, and relay customer feedback for product improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade laser sources and optical systems on-site.
- Deliver customer training and technical guidance.
- Perform remote troubleshooting and support when required.
- Communicate customer feedback and improvement ideas to management.
- Support sales activities and maintain clear customer communication.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree, technical certificate, or equivalent technical training.
- 3–5 years’ experience servicing lasers, photonics, or other complex capital equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electronic/electrical, mechanical, or photonics systems.
- Ability to read technical documents, schematics, and write clear reports.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Oracle and Salesforce is a plus.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
