Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for an Assistant Construction Superintendent position with a full-service, New York City based Construction Management & General Contracting firm.
Position Details:
Location: New York City (home office in Newark, NJ)
Compensation: $70K-$90K
Shift: Monday- Friday Day Shift with some variance based on projects

Position Description
As an Assistant Construction Superintendent, you will manage the flow of information from the Project Management Team to the Superintendent Team. You will work with onsite superintendent to facilitate and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly project field reporting requirements. You will be expected to maintain relationships with NYC Agency inspectors, department chiefs, and heads of NYC utility companies. You will ensure outstanding project safety, subcontractor performance, on-time scheduling, specification conformance, and quality control.
Position Requirements
• Experience of commercial, residential and mixed-use construction as a superintendent is very beneficial.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Working knowledge of typical construction project software such as Microsoft Office, Project, or Procore.
• Project experience for mid-rise, out-of-the-ground commercial, condo, hotel, and mixed-use construction in New York City and the surrounding boroughs.
• Strong understanding of construction documents.
