Description
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer Planner will be responsible for ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient delivery of all materials to support customer projects. This role requires strong analytical, planning, and communication skills, with an excellent knowledge of material supply management systems. You will manage the full order lifecycle for specific commodities, support production planning, and drive supplier relationships while ensuring best-in-class performance on behalf of the company and its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full order lifecycle for assigned customer orders and commodities.
- Meet all KPI targets and maintain updated AVL & ERP data.
- Oversee raw material requirements through to finished goods delivery.
- Procure key raw materials and components to support production.
- Expedite or de-expedite work/purchase orders via ERP.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for assigned product families.
- Support procurement of capital and indirect materials.
- Maintain tactical vendor relationships and participate in QBRs.
- Ensure accuracy of MRP records and Master Data.
- Support production order planning and WIP management.
- Foster positive supplier relations through regular communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; minimum two years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to plan, manage, and reprioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost-saving initiatives.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with problem-solving ability.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP Business-by-Design preferred).
- Advanced MS Excel skills a plus.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Ability to build strong, reliable working relationships across teams.
