Overview:
The Renewable Energy Technician performs construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair work on substations, high-voltage equipment, collection systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This role supports safe operations, coordinates with contractors and suppliers, maintains inventory and tooling, and responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.

This role supports safe operations, coordinates with contractors and suppliers, maintains inventory and tooling, and responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on substations, transmission, collection, and BESS equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve protection/control equipment and relay issues.
- Manage emergency response for high-voltage and BESS systems.
- Operate facilities safely and in compliance with LOTO procedures.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and landowners.
- Read and interpret high-voltage electrical schematics.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 4+ years of high-voltage electrical experience (or equivalent military experience).
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpreting computer data.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
- Effective communicator with good written skills; safety-focused.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and perform duties requiring standing, climbing, kneeling, or crawling.
