Job Description

Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Training Coordinator position.

Position Details: Training Coordinator
Location: Charleston, TN
Compensation: $20-23/hr
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
When required, reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals to perform these essential functions.
Shift: This is a full-time position which will typically involves long hours, weekend, and holiday work. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather, and emergencies at the job site.

Position Description:
The Training Operations role is responsible for providing hands on training or resources to ensure required job task qualifications are met.

Responsibilities Include:
• Train and develop individual/teams’ functional skills ensuring job task qualification requirements are met.
• Ensure personal safety is at the forefront of all training and that is it clearly understood by all trainees.
• Drive learning engagement and lead by example in the culture and belief of continued development.
• Communicate effectively and possess strong people skills/relationships while training diverse groups.

• Experience in the construction industry is required including, but not limited to; Construction, Contracting, Paving and Industrial with in depth knowledge of surveying, trenching/excavation, structures, asphalt, landfills, utilities, heavy equipment operations, land development, scaffolding and construction safety industry standards.
• Work in enclosed spaces.
• Walk moderate distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more).
• Wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, vest, and boots.
• Must be full proficient on Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
