Location: Lexington, KY
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: $24 – $26/hour + Overtime

Position Description: The Company, a leader in maximizing the performance and reliability of rotating equipment, is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our Lexington team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who thrives in a hands-on environment. You’ll play a critical role in restoring electric motors and generators by performing precision machining using a variety of manual tools and equipment. From engine and horizontal lathes to milling and grinding machines, you’ll contribute to delivering the highest standard of craftsmanship and safety.
You’ll work alongside a team that values honesty, excellence, and integrity—delivering impactful solutions across a range of industrial sectors including power generation, metals, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses
• Perform critical balancing and mechanical adjustments on rotating machinery
• Review and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to ensure precision
• Conduct dimensional checks using dial indicators, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Operate overhead and gantry cranes, forklifts, and follow all safety and rigging procedures
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and collaborative work environment
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years of machining experience, preferably within electric motor repair
• Proficient in reading and interpreting micrometer measurements
• Skilled in manual lathe operation (various sizes and specs)
• Familiarity with electroplating equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
• Able to absorb and apply technical training and safety protocols
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
