Description

Orion Talent, the nation’s largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for an AMR Supervisor position with one of the largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals in North America.

Position Details
Location: Toledo, OH
Compensation: First Year Total Comp = $80K – $86.5K
• Base Payrate: $55,000 – $60,000
• Weekly Bonus (0 – 75%, 23.73% avg this year): $13,050 – $14,250 (this is this year’s average, but could be much higher)
• Profit Sharing (average of 13.6% annual): $9,255 – $10,098
• Annual Value of Stock Award: $2,200
Shift: Night Shift (6pm – 4:30am [plus or minus 30 minutes)]

Position Description
As an Advanced Metal Recovery (AMR) Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Advanced Metal Recovery (AMR) yard. You will ensure safety of employees & quality of the product. Specific responsibilities include:
• Develop, lead, train, and discipline a small team (7-8 union employees) within the shift.
• Manage, supervise, and direct union employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Ensure compliance in safety, environment, and personnel issues that may arise.
• Monitor the AMR process to ensure plant productivity, material quality, and daily tasks are completed.
• All other tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements
• Good mechanical systems background and small team leadership experience.
• Must exhibit strong self-discipline, passion for work, loyalty, and high levels of reliability.
• Mechanical maintenance skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others.
• Understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
• Experience working in a union environment is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to work outdoors and climb numerous flights of stairs numerous times.
