Position Description

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team in West Hartford, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for driving process improvement, enhancing production efficiency, and supporting new product launches. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver with a strong background in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate across departments to develop innovative solutions, ensure product quality, and optimize manufacturing capabilities to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and reliable assembly operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve major manufacturing and assembly challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify and address inefficiencies in design, process engineering, materials, equipment, and personnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date manufacturing process documentation aligned with product specifications.
  • Estimate and implement new process techniques and designs to support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Plan and oversee plant layouts, tooling, workflow, and related engineering functions to transition products from design to full production.
  • Develop capital equipment justifications and provide reporting on status of projects and models.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Industrial, and Design Engineering teams to implement process design improvements and ensure integration with assembly operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and engineering tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards, safety regulations, and compliance practices.
  • Experience with process automation and robotics is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
