Orion is currently recruiting for Field Service Engineer positions with our client in the Critical Power Solutions industry.


As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide on-site support, maintenance, and technical assistance to customers on Critical Power Equipment and Systems. You will be responsible for delivering technical support and service to customers at their locations. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to these products and systems, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal performance.

Position and Event Details


Salary

$75,000 - $85,000 plus overtime. Relocation assistance is also provided on a case-by-case basis


Travel

Regional travel - 75%. Company vehicle is provided. Location determines travel requirement. The more remote the area, the more travel needed to get to a customer site if needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installation and Commissioning


    Install, configure, and commission critical power systems, including uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDUs), automatic transfer switches (ATS), and battery backup systems.

  • Maintenance and Repairs


    Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on critical power equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations to minimize downtime for customers.

  • Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics


    Utilize remote monitoring tools and software to monitor the health and performance of critical power systems. Analyze data and diagnostic information to identify potential issues and proactively address them before they escalate.

  • Customer Support


    Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical power equipment. Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication and responsive service.

  • Documentation and Reporting


    Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, using digital tools and software systems. Prepare service reports, documentation, and recommendations for customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Training and Knowledge Sharing


    Stay up to date on the latest developments, technologies, and best practices in critical power systems. Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical skills and expertise.

  • Safety and Compliance


    Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and regulations while performing service activities. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
