Position Description Summary:
The Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the
timely progression of jobs through the fabrication process, both internally and
with external vendors or subcontractors. This individual serves as the central point of contact for job status
visibility, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and driving
accountability across departments to maintain schedule integrity and meet
customer delivery expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Promote and adhere to the Core
Values and Behavior Code. - Monitor job progress by
tracking and reporting real-time status of work orders/jobs across all
stages of the fabrication process, including machining, welding, assembly,
and finishing. - Work closely with production,
quality, planning, and engineering teams to ensure job priorities are
understood and executed in line with production schedules. - Communicate with Purchasing,
subcontractors, and vendors to obtain updates on outsourced operations
(e.g. heat treating, coating, NDT) and ensure on-time delivery back to the
facility. - Identify delays, material
shortages, or process roadblocks early; escalate and coordinate corrective
actions to avoid disruption to the production schedule. - Help prioritize work across
departments based on due dates, customer commitments, or critical path
items. Step in to complete tasks to
remove bottlenecks as needed. - Maintain accurate tracking
tools or status boards. Provide
daily or weekly reports to leadership on job progress, late items, and
potential risks to delivery. - Participate in daily/weekly
production meetings to communicate status updates, highlight concerns, and
propose solutions. - Recommend process improvements
to reduce lead times, improve communication, and streamline production
flow. - Perform other duties as
required.
Position Requirements:
Education/Experience:
· Associate’s degree in a technical
field (bachelor’s degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

· 2+ years’ experience in a technical,
manufacturing, or fabrication environment (welding machining, or related field).

· Prior experience in production

· Experience or familiarity with

environment. Use of computer, telephone and other office equipment throughout
the day as needed to conduct business. Physical effort consists of frequent handling of light to average weight
