Description
We are seeking a dependable and skilled On-Site Air Separation Plant Technician to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations of nitrogen-producing plants at customer locations in the Essex Junction area. This hands-on role includes operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining air separation and supporting systems.
Technicians work independently with minimal supervision and are supported by engineers, lead techs, and a strong technical team. Candidates should possess robust mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process control knowledge.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance at assigned facilities
- Operate and maintain compressors, gas analyzers, control systems, pneumatic valves, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve plant issues to ensure optimal reliability and uptime
- Coordinate contractors and vendors for site maintenance and audits
- Document maintenance and compliance activities via control systems
- Support training and development of new team members
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and support other locations as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associate's degree in a technical field preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Air separation or complex process systems
- Industrial maintenance (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation)
- HVAC or military engineering roles (e.g., Machinist Mates, Electrician Mates, Gas Turbine Technicians)
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with FIX 32 or similar process control software is a plus
- Strong communication and time management abilities
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
