POSITION DETAILS
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our corporate team. Travel may be required and will vary as determined by the needs and location of assigned projects. The Benefit Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefit programs which include but are not limited to: Retirement 401(k) plans, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-term Disability programs and other ancillary benefits.
Responsibilities:
• Timely respond to benefit inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
• Audit benefit enrollment data for accuracy and compliance.
• Process and track FMLA and leave-of-absence requests: medical, personal, disability.
• Administer qualifying events for employees.
• Verify COBRA initial notices and qualifying event terminations are administered by the TPA.
• Respond to 401(k) inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.
• Assist with the annual benefit open enrollment process.
• Promote health and wellness programs to employees and managers across the organization.

Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of company sponsored benefit programs and applicable laws.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in an autonomous environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now and other HRIS / Benefit software.
• Experience with administering Canadian benefits is a plus.
• Experience with vendors such as Cigna, Fidelity, and Unum is a plus.
Education and Experience:
Required:
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field; commensurate experience may be substituted for the education.
• Minimum of 5-Years HR experience in manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Ability to Travel as needed for OE Meetings and Training.
