Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compressors, and related equipment
• Monitor system pressures and alarm set points; respond to abnormal conditions
• Perform start-up, shutdown, and operational checks of turbine/compressor packages

Job Description

Travel: Between sites, roughly 25%

Compensation: $125k-$135k Base Salary (target - depends on experience), plus up to 20% bonus.

Reporting to the CHRO, the Region HR Manager leads HR Operations efforts for key facilities in the Southeast. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Management or a related field is strongly preferred; combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing, logistics or similar environment.
• Experience leading a team of HR professionals is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships at all levels.

Summary

A Senior Field Service Technician (SrFST) is responsible for installation, commissioning, scheduled and emergency service on products serviced by Fairbanks Morse Defense commensurate with appropriate certification. Products may include, but are not limited to, diesel engines, electrical controls, roll-up doors, cranes, elevators and davits. The SrFST is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. The SrFST is also required to maintain continuous communication with Region Offices, and direct manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

ROLE

• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

• Controls Specialist conducts installation, testing, and troubleshooting services for the controls systems on FMD engine lines 
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

• May occasionally be assigned to shop duties such as general machining, part inspections, assembly, testing, and warehouse.
• TECHNICAL
• Keep current on Engineering Change Orders, Field Service Change Notices and Service Information Letters
• Document work performed on Service Reports and write Condition Found Reports

• Education and Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required; and at least one or more of the following required:
• Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Diesel Technology, or Power Generation Technology with four years’ experience in a related field, including two years equivalent industry experience with electrical/motion controls required, or
• Four years’ experience in a related field, including three years equivalent industry experience with electrical/motion controls required

Shift: Typically 8 AM-5 PM. Some off hours as needed for projects or emergency calls.

The Equipment Field Service Technician provides excellent technical services and customer service experiences maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and sales representatives. • Perform all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks providing instructional training to customers
• Continual training of equipment and resources necessary to perform the functions of the department
• Consistently deliver excellent customer service experiences by offering knowledge, and advice, and answering questions and concern
• Coordinate with VP of Sales and Sales Representatives to provide excellent customer support
• Diagnose errors or technical problems by visual and auditable inspection of machines and determine proper solutions
