Go to end ⇓We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance and reliability across multiple bakery manufacturing facilities. This hands-on leadership role will focus on equipment uptime, maintenance team development, facility reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop maintenance teams across multiple facilities
- Build and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Oversee production equipment including sheeters, dividers, mixers, proofers, ovens, and conveyors
- Use CMMS, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE data to identify issues and improve reliability
- Lead Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis initiatives
- Partner with Production and Engineering to improve efficiency, quality, and equipment performance
- Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, electrical, plumbing, and facility systems
- Manage vendors, contractors, equipment installations, and facility projects
- Lead capital projects, maintenance budgets, spare parts, and procurement
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, GMP, SQF, and food safety requirements
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to site maintenance leaders
- Standardize maintenance practices and share best practices across facilities
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 7+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience, preferably in food or bakery manufacturing
- Multi-site maintenance leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems
- Experience with equipment reliability, preventive/predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement
- Proven ability to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
- Proficiency with CMMS and maintenance data
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Lean, Six Sigma, CMRP, or PMP certification preferred
- Ability to travel between facilities
Work Environment
- Fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Regular presence on the manufacturing floor and around operating equipment
- Multi-site travel required
