Electrical Technician

Northeast
US Navy, E-5

Orion International was recommended to me by a colleague of mine in the Navy, who found his career through Orion. My recruiter was Matt Clingon. He answered all my questions and coached me before the interviews. He absolutely considered my needs and found me exactly what I was looking for. I told him the area that my wife and I were planning on moving to once I got out of the Navy, and he gave me a great opportunity to get a job with a well-established company.

I am now a maintenance electrician. My experience in the military will certainly help me, but my new position is servicing equipment on a much larger scale than the aircraft components that I worked on. I was an aviation electronics technician and eventually became a production supervisor at a FRC Mid Atlantic Site Oceana. My experience in the military gave a pretty solid understanding of electricity and electronics, which will be very useful in my new career.

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Orion. Matt and Rob Valenza were extremely helpful in coordinating things with my new employer. I had some trouble getting a day off to attend my second interview and got really worried that I would lose the opportunity for the job. Rob and Matt took care of everything, and, when I did finally get to attend that interview, it went well.

Orion has really made my transition out of the military easier than I thought. I was really worried about finding a job. It was actually more stressful getting everything done for the military than it was to get a job. I would recommend Orion to anyone in the military looking to get out and find a job. You guys are awesome!
