Position Description: The Industrial Field Millwright is responsible for providing expert maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial systems and machinery at customer sites. This hands-on role ensures the efficient and reliable operation of equipment by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in fast-paced, industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site maintenance and repairs on conveyors, industrial machinery, and mechanical systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) and respond to emergency service requests to minimize equipment downtime.
- Install new machinery and equipment according to client specifications and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Serve as the primary customer contact during field service, ensuring clear communication and a high level of professionalism.
- Provide technical updates, repair plans, and recommendations to customers.
- Maintain strong client relationships through timely and courteous service.
- Follow all safety and compliance standards, including performing risk assessments and adhering to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
- Report safety concerns or potential hazards promptly to management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Technician, or similar industrial maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment, conveyors, and systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all site safety procedures.
- Ability to travel to customer locations as required.
