Description

• Review project specifications, drawings, and related documentation to fully understand project scope and objectives
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules in coordination with internal teams and stakeholders
• Oversee procurement of materials and participate in cost reviews to ensure financial performance
• Support the Operations Manager in subcontractor selection, coordination, and compliance with safety and project requirements
• Conduct project kickoffs and orientations for technicians, providing scope of work, drawings, contacts, and engineered documentation
• Track project progress, labor, and resources while documenting impacts to schedule, scope, or cost
• Identify, pursue, and manage change orders
• Coordinate billing, commissioning schedules, as-built documentation, and project close-out activities

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
• On-the-job experience in project management within HVAC controls and/or electrical construction
• Strong understanding of HVAC industry applications
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, electrical schematics, network and control wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with building automation communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Ethernet
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Valid driver’s license with limited violations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Nice-to-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of project management experience in the HVAC controls industry
• Experience managing projects in healthcare, education, industrial, or mission-critical environments

• Perform installation, service, and maintenance of furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, mini-splits, and ventilation systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC and electrical issues efficiently and accurately
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety standards
• Maintain company vehicle and tools in a clean, professional condition
• Provide courteous, professional service to residential and commercial customers
• Support and mentor helpers or apprentices as needed

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC installation or service (will train motivated veterans or mechanically inclined candidates)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required for insurability)
• Ability to provide personal hand tools (company supplies power tools and specialty equipment)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service abilities

• EPA certification and HVAC schooling preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to professionalism
• Dependable and self-driven work ethic

• Prior military experience
• Additional HVAC certifications
• Experience working in residential and light commercial environments

Description

Key responsibilities include:

• Tests, regenerates, inspects, adjusts, changes filters, repairs/replaces water softeners, distilled water, and laboratory water systems down stream of approved backflow preventers
• Aligns and replaces hot water heating, chilled water, and condenser water pumps
• Inspects/services/performs daily operation to water heating & low-pressure steam systems
• Repairs/replaces hot water heating, low pressure steam systems and steam/chiller components
• Shuts down, starts up, repairs, replaces, and installs irrigation systems
• Daily operation of chilled water generating equipment and repair (non-refrigerant side)
• Inspects, tests, cleans, repairs, and maintains daily operation of cooling towers
• Repairs and replaces components of air handlers and dampers; inspects and cleans coils
• Repairs and replaces variable blade axial fans & generator engines
• Notifies supervisor of equipment & supplies needs and facilities repair or upkeep needs
• Shocks water heaters
• Resets and programs building master clocks and lighting panels
• Flushes and winterizes heating and cooling coils
• Tests, cleans, lubricates, monitors, and inspects fire pumps and associated equipment

• Technical training in mechanical maintenance with at least 3 years of applicable work experience. 
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position.
• Ability to interact with fellow employees, management, customers, and the public in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner. 
• Maintain a positive public image, positive attitude and demeanor when performing a service for customers and the public at the company.
