Description

What You'll Do
Lead daily fabrication operations including sheet management, fiber lasers, CNC turret punches, press brakes, and shearing equipment.
- Assign work, balance labor, and coordinate production flow to meet manufacturing schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Perform advanced machine setups, tooling selection, program validation, troubleshooting, and production recovery as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Support programming edits, nesting validation, tooling optimization, and process improvements to maximize machine utilization and throughput.
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues affecting quality, safety, or production while partnering with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to implement corrective actions.
- Verify completed parts meet engineering specifications while maintaining production documentation, work orders, and WIP tracking.
- Coach and develop fabrication team members while promoting a strong safety culture, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
What We're Looking For (Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education)
5+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience in a production manufacturing environment.
- Previous leadership experience as a Leadman, Team Lead, Cell Lead, Production Lead, or Supervisor.
- Strong hands-on experience operating CNC turret punches, fiber lasers, press brakes, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and fabrication documentation.
- Experience assigning work, coordinating labor, managing workflow, and maintaining production schedules.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving fabrication equipment, machine setups, tooling, and production processes.
- Safety-focused leader with a commitment to quality, productivity, and team development.
- Experience with custom manufacturing, ERP systems, Lean Manufacturing, program editing, or nesting software is a plus.
