ATEK Metal Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our production operations and facility infrastructure. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of all equipment and systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs during machine downtime.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test systems, and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience Expected:

• High school Diploma or GED required
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience with emphasis in hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial skill sets with some experience in PLC and HVAC.
• Must pass ATEK Functional Job Analysis and Pre- Employment Drug Screen for Maintenance Position.
• Proficient with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and material handling tools.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime if needed.

What You'll Do:

• Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve plant safety, equipment performance, and product quality with regards to equipment functionality

• Work with other shifts to ensure proper pass down and pick up on work and repairs to finish in timely manner
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance functions to ensure equipment uptime and reliability
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to repair and maintain production equipment
• Identify potential failure modes and suggests solutions

Job Description

Some specific responsibilities include:

• Provide technical service support on existing installations ensuring systems continue to meet existing building occupancy codes and efficient operation requirements.
• Programming and commissioning of Control Systems and Integration with other systems related to building automation.
• Be well-versed in multiple controls systems as they may be on a different site each day based on the service calls that come in on a daily basis.
• Communicate directly with the customer in order to satisfy the needs regarding the specifics of what is required to solve the issue on a particular site.
• Document the services performed on a service call on a FSR (Field Service Report) with details of what the service call consisted of and to document if the call is complete or will require a follow up visit.
• Replace failed parts, controllers, wire, relays and devices as required. 
• Maintain a good disposition with the customers and deal with them in a courteous manner at all times.
• Verify devices, panels and annunciators of controls projects.
• Ensure timely software backups are created for projects and software development.
• Complete time sheets, service work orders, and other paperwork required for this position in an accurate and timely manner.
