Manager-in-Training Program

South Central
US Army, O-2

I first learned about Orion International and its services from a soldier who worked for me at Fort Bliss, where I was Officer–in-Charge for Mobilization and supervised the training of soldiers for Detention Operations, in April 2010. By that time, I was quite discouraged about my prospects in the job market, and when he recommended Orion, I figured it was worth a try.

Bob Berkholz and Chris Davis helped me in my job hunt, and, simply stated, they were awesome!  They always returned my calls and never made me feel that my questions were petty or unnecessary.  Most of all, I felt that both of them always treated me professionally.  When a person has just spent several months in the job market without success, it means a lot to be treated with respect, confidence, and enthusiasm.

From my first contact with Orion, I knew what I needed to do and I had confidence that they would walk me through the entire process. Upon registering, I immediately received feedback and was encouraged that there was a job out there for me.  I registered with other job services and am just now receiving feedback from them—that’s almost two months after Greene’s Energy and I signed a contract!

I have already recommended Orion to several soldiers at Fort Bliss, as well as some who are currently on a mission in Afghanistan.  Returning from a war environment to a very tight job market can be tough. I’m hoping my friends who are currently ‘in harm’s way’ will act on my suggestion, because I think they will have the same successful job search that I did.
