Team Leader - Manufacturing

Midwest
US Army, O-3

I was a Captain the in the U.S. Army, an Armor and Quartermaster Officer, and left the military on May 1, 2006. I began my job search in January 2006 and had two offers on the table through Orion by late March. I learned about Orion through an Internet search, and I contacted the Midwest Orion office. Todd Phillips was my main contacts, and I was treated very well. I attended the February 2006 hiring conference in Chicago, where I interviewed for seven different positions within six companies. As a result, I was selected for two onsite interviews. Although it was not the exact type of position I was looking for, after I attended the onsite interview with General Mills, I knew it was the perfect position for me, and I accepted an offer as Production Team Leader, where I will begin working on May 15.

Throughout the process, I felt that I received exceptional personal attention. In fact, from talking with other officers leaving the military, I feel that I received more attention and consideration for my needs and wants than they did. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Orion to any JMO choosing to transition from the military.

Compared to their competition, Orion is tops in their class! Todd jumped on the ball right away and set me up with opportunities I could not pass on. In fact, because Orion acted so fast and thoroughly, their competition could not keep up. Working with Orion was the best decision I made for my future since joining the military. The Orion team met and exceeded everything I asked of them. If I am in the position one day, I will not hesitate to use Orion to meet my company’s hiring needs.
