Description
As a Maintenance Technician II (Measurement Technician), you will perform testing, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of gas measurement, regulation, and control equipment to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance. This role supports Enbridge's gas operations through hands-on technical work involving meters, analyzers, odorizers, control systems, and associated infrastructure.
You will work independently and as part of a team in field environments, maintaining a strong focus on safety, documentation, and operational excellence while supporting critical energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform gas flow and meter calculations
- Test, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot gas meters including positive displacement, rotary, Coriolis, turbine, orifice, and ultrasonic meters
- Test, inspect, and maintain pressure regulators, control valves, relief valves, and pressure limiting devices
- Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic control devices, RTUs, EGM systems, and gas analyzers (gas chromatographs, moisture, sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, and oxygen analyzers)
- Perform routine maintenance on gas odorizers, including determining injection rates and reporting odorant usage and concentration
- Operate and maintain power supply systems.
- Identify pipe, valves, and fittings for size and wall thickness using mechanical or electronic measurement tools
- Ensure electrical installations meet applicable codes and standards
- Install small-diameter instrument piping and tubing per specifications
- Accurately complete reports, documentation, and maintenance records
- Write and maintain gas handling and operating procedures
- Consistently follow safety standards and actively participate in safety programs
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent education and/or experience
- Minimum of 2 years of directly relevant technical experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Must reside within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, shifts, on-call rotation, standby duty, and overnight travel as required
