Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will work a variety of engineering-related projects pertaining to best manufacturing processes, capital equipment utilization / re-design, etc. This role requires a BS in Engineering (or related technical degree) and / or engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Some essential functions will include:

Assists in the development of manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments, evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements.
Assists with the completion of equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
Assists in the monitoring of equipment installations by advising crews.
Prepares equipment operators by assisting with training, providing reference and support resources.
Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
Maintains equipment records by filing documents, updating equipment database.
Protects organization value by keeping information confidential, cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineer, or related field
3+ years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
