Description
The Calibration Technician performs calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation activities in a laboratory environment and at local customer sites. Two opportunities are available: one developmental/trainee position for candidates with strong technical aptitude and a desire to learn calibration, and one Calibration Technician II position for candidates with established hands-on calibration experience.
Technicians will learn and apply approved calibration techniques, measurement standards, procedures, and quality requirements while developing proficiency across multiple calibration disciplines. More experienced Technician II candidates will perform calibration work independently, support customer-site activities, apply measurement techniques and uncertainty concepts, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain accurate calibration documentation.

- Ability to maintain accurate calibration records and documentation

- Associate degree or technical-school education, relevant technical experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- For Calibration Technician II consideration: demonstrated hands-on calibration experience
- For Calibration Technician II consideration: ability to independently calibrate higher-level equipment across multiple disciplines
- For Calibration Technician II consideration: ability to apply measurement techniques and measurement uncertainty concepts
- For Calibration Technician II consideration: ability to support customer-site calibration activities
